Morning Bang

- Ahmed Yassin, the spirtual leader and founder of Hammas, was killed early Monday morning in Gaza. Some reactions to the news:

First reaction from Yourish
Full breakdown from Outside the Beltway
Eleven reactions from Allison

- Mark Kleiman wonders outloud about the hypocrisies of the Bush campaign attacking Kerry's votes on defense cuts.

- Little Green Footballs links to some disturbing posters from Global Action Day last Saturday in SF.

- Instapundit is back from vacation. Not that you haven't already checked his site 29 times today.

- CalPun... I mean, Political Animal has a full breakdown and analysis of Richard Clarke's 60 Minutes interview. This interview, though very clear in its accusations and proof behind them, is probably going to just be another charge against Bush that will be deflected by the Bush Smear Office President. Absolutely amazing how slippery this guy is.

Riddle Update:

Ned got it - - comma is correct. Johnny apparently has some problems with getting here in time; my lack of a common posting time might have something to do with that. Sorry if that is the case. I will try to post before 8:00 am from now on.

Today's Riddle:

I am taken from a mine, and shut up in a wooden case, from which I am never released, and yet I am used by almost everybody.

I'm not sure if this is right. I mean, it only kind of works the way I'm thinking about it. And I can't really say that I'm certain it's mined. Nonetheless, my guess is . . .

pencil lead.
