Is the Mystery Solved?

After playing it straight for a couple of weeks, I am ready to regress a bit:

Wow

Just came across a website that is either a very good parody or a horrific example of poor secondary education. Here is a sample:

"Though out human history men have always been the leaders. It is the natural way things should be. And is also the case in most other species. As men we have the ability to make decisions with a clear mind. We are not slaves to our emotions. That is why our nations for founding fathers in their great wisdom decided that only men should vote and hold office."

Is there anyway

That people would respect a move like this:

“Or, and this is a real possibility, we could see President Bush giving his acceptance speech at Ground Zero,” he added. “It’s clearly a venue they’re considering.”

I am a Democrat, if that wasn't amazingly clear already, but my distaste for the above goes way above partisanship. If this idiot thinks that he is going to stand on the graves of 2,000+ citizens of the United States just so he can accept his parties Presidential Nomination "in style", he is on crack. Even knowing that he probably will lose votes for such a stunt, I don't want him to do it. Even if it guaranteed he wouldn't be elected I wouldn't want him to do it.

On the one year anniversary of September 11, 2001 I visited Ground Zero, and without a doubt it was the most emotionally powerful sight I have ever laid my eyes on. Just thinking about someone standing three stories below level ground, on the remains of the two tallest buildings in this country, uttering the words, "blank for America" or, "And, with your help we are going to win this election" makes me want to throw up. What, are workers going to be chanting, "four more years" as they work on the Slurry Wall?

I would say he obviously won't do this because it is political suicide, but, then again, he just asked Congress to amend the Constitution to restrict rights.

PoliBlog linked with First the Cruise Ship, Now...

It's like he writes it FOR us...

Is the President on a reality television show that we don't know about? Political Mole perhaps? Because, if that is the case, I will understand. It would make it clear to me why he is doing all these ridiculous things. I mean, wanting everybody to think you are "the Mole" is a brilliant strategy. If I was voting though, I would still think it was Rod Paige.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Here's what we're going to do. I will make a statement. The President will make a statement. I will then call upon an American correspondent to ask a question. The President will call upon a Georgian correspondent. We'll have two questions per side.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Thank you. Hold on for a second. Deb, we're going to --

Q What do you think about --

PRESIDENT BUSH: Hold on. Will somebody translate --

PRESIDENT SAAKASHVILI: It's in English.

PRESIDENT BUSH: I understand. I understand. Hold on for a second. The way this is going to work is this.

Q I'm from Georgia.

PRESIDENT BUSH: I know you are, excuse me. We're going to start with the American press, and then there will be a Georgian press, and then there will be an American press, and then there will be a Georgian press. That's the best way to maintain order, so we don't have everybody yelling at the same time.

Deb.

Are you questioning my patriotism?

If Kerry is going to get his panties in a bunch over Edwards mocking him for turning a one word answer into a 300 word answer and over Bush attacking his defense spending record, what is he going to say about comments like the one below?

He gave orders to his committee staff to shred crucial intelligence documents. The shredding stopped only when some intelligence staffers staged a protest. Some wrote internal memos calling for a criminal investigation. One such memo—from John F. McCreary, a lawyer and staff intelligence analyst—reported that the committee's chief counsel, J. William Codinha, a longtime Kerry friend, "ridiculed the staff members" and said, "Who's the injured party?" When staffers cited "the 2,494 families of the unaccounted-for U.S. servicemen, among others," the McCreary memo continued, Codinha said: "Who's going to tell them? It's classified."

Well, the Village Voice has about 50 more where that came from, so I think we are about to find out exactly what he is going to say.

In 25 words or less...

Try to describe George Bush better than this:

Keynes famously quipped “When the facts change, I change my mind – what do you do, sir?” G.W. Bush’s riposte - Why sir, I change the facts.

I don't know if it is possible. I would love to see other people try though.

Oh, this is pleasant part II

It is just one of those days were I don't feel good about society in general. The fact that people write columns like the one I linked to in my last post, and maintain websites like the one I reference below, is utterly despicable. It's not like these people are voicing some sort of message of the hudled masses or an agenda filled with love and good intent; it is just hate.

Anyway, free publicity for idiots: "Christian Party"

(Found this over at Pandagon.)

Oh, this is pleasant...

Came across this piece over at Allah in the House. I really just don't have words to describe it. Read it and then come back and comment if you want.

Regardless of how I have ever felt about any country or group of people I have never even thought things like what is mentioned in the post above. To go futher and take the mental capacity needed to sit down and formulate thoughts like that on to paper takes an even deeper dip into the psychotic pool of hate.
