Gmail invites

Sorry for the lack of posting, I am in the middle of trying to move this site to a real web address (gasp!).

Anyway, I have two extra Gmail invites. The first two people to comment with their favorite Cubs moment will receive them. Make sure to use your actual email address in the comment so I know that I am sending the invite to the right person.

Update: Two more available.

I suppose I should try gmail.

My favorite Cubs moment was visiting Chicago for a wedding, and going to Wrigley Field during Kerry Wood's rookie season. Wood struck out 13 batters or something, and the crowd was absolutely electric. Every strikeout--every strike--was cause for celebration. Then the Cubs beat the Braves in extra innings. A happy day all around.

While it doesn't hold the exact feelings it did then (David vs. Goliath), it has a different, better feeling.

I'm only 16, so my Cubs fandom only goes back to about '98. This moment isn't my favorite (probably Sosa's 62nd), and it's not the best thing that's happened since '98 (last year's Division title), but it's the biggest source of hope for this year.

Earlier this year, against the Braves, we're down 2-1, top of the 9th in Atlanta, 2 out. Todd Hollandsworth comes out against John Smoltz, and on the first pitch of the at-bat, smokes a DEEP homerun into right field. Smoltz blows a save, the Braves blow a late lead, and the rest of that game, there wasn't a doubt in my mind that we were going to win that game. And we did, 5 innings later.

Then, it felt like the Cubs put a finishing blow on a dynasty. Now, it feels like the Cubs put a nail into a coffin that wasn't fit to be buried. Now, it's the Cubs beating a top-caliber team with a 9th inning closer-topping hit, an extra innings bullpen match, and a Cubs lineup without Nomar, Grudzie, Gonzalez, Prior, Remlinger, Goodwin.....

It will be highly appreciated if you please help me to open a gmail account.

Thank you.

Did you see the horrible news about today's Miami shootings with the masked gunman?
